These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the UHX Trader website and educational trading simulator (together, the "Service"), operated by Unhectic Limited ("we", "us", "our"), a company based in London, Greater London, England. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Risk & Educational-Use Disclaimer, and Education Charter, each of which forms part of your agreement with us.
1. Definitions
- "UHX Trader" or "the Service" — the UHX Trader website and educational trading simulator, including the web application and any Android or iOS application we make available.
- "Unhectic Limited", "we", "us", "our" — the operator of UHX Trader, based in London, Greater London, England.
- "you" or "user" — anyone who accesses or uses the Service.
- "virtual balance" — the simulated balance used inside the Service for practice purposes.
- "the 7 Forex majors" — the seven simulated currency pairs available to practise inside the Service: EUR/USD, USD/JPY, GBP/USD, USD/CHF, AUD/USD, USD/CAD, and NZD/USD.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use UHX Trader. By using the Service, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms. UHX Trader is not intended for anyone under 18, and is not intended for use in any place where access to, or use of, the Service would be contrary to local law or regulation.
3. What UHX Trader is — and is not
UHX Trader is an educational trading simulator. It lets you practise trading concepts across the 7 Forex majors using a virtual balance. There is no real money anywhere in the Service, and no deposits or withdrawals of any kind. UHX Trader is not a brokerage, is not a financial institution, and does not execute real-world trades on your behalf. The Service is not investment advice and does not provide financial advice of any kind. Any results, charts, or figures shown inside the simulator are illustrative only and do not represent, predict, or indicate any real-world outcome. UHX Trader is free to use — there is no monetary transaction of any kind involved in creating or using an account.
4. Your account
To use certain features of the Service, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information when you do, to keep your credentials secure, and to let us know promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. You are responsible for activity that takes place under your account, other than activity resulting from our own breach of these Terms. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your own educational purposes, subject to these Terms.
5. Acceptable use
When using UHX Trader, you agree not to:
- misrepresent simulated activity, simulated results, or your virtual balance as real trading, real results, or any real-world outcome, to us or to anyone else;
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that breaches any applicable law or regulation;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, to other users' accounts, or to our systems;
- interfere with, disrupt, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the underlying software or simulated pricing logic of the Service, except to the extent this restriction cannot be excluded by law;
- use automated means — bots, scrapers, or similar tools — to access the Service other than through interfaces we make publicly available for that purpose;
- upload or transmit anything unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or infringing, or impersonate any person or entity;
- do anything that could disable, overburden, or impair the Service, or interfere with any other person's use of it; or
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service, or any simulated content within it, without our prior written permission.
6. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, all rights, title, and interest in and to UHX Trader — including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, the UHX Trader name, and all simulated content — belong to Unhectic Limited or its licensors, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that intellectual property to you. Your right to use the Service is limited to the licence set out in Section 4, and you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service beyond that licence.
7. Third-party links and app platforms
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site. UHX Trader is currently available as a web application; Android and iOS applications are planned. Once available, mobile versions of UHX Trader will be distributed through the relevant app marketplaces, and your use of those marketplaces will also be governed by their own separate terms and policies, which are outside our control.
8. Availability and changes to the Service
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service — including specific Forex majors, features, or simulated data — at any time, particularly where this is needed for maintenance, security, or legal reasons. We do not warrant that the Service will be available at all times, uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided for educational purposes on an "as is" and "as available" basis. UHX Trader is not investment advice, and nothing communicated by Unhectic Limited in connection with the Service is intended as financial advice, a recommendation, or a forecast. Simulated results do not indicate what would happen with money outside the simulator. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude all warranties, whether express or implied, about the Service, including as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Unhectic Limited will not be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Unhectic Limited harmless from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your misuse of the Service, including misrepresenting simulated activity as real trading or real results; (c) your violation of any applicable law; or (d) your violation of any third-party right.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, misused the Service, or put other users, the Service, or Unhectic Limited at risk — for example, by misrepresenting simulated activity as real trading, attempting to disrupt the Service, or using it unlawfully. You may stop using the Service at any time. Termination does not affect any part of these Terms which, by its nature, should continue to apply — including Sections 6, 10, and 11.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Service, to applicable law, or to how we operate. The date at the top of this page shows when these Terms were last updated. If you continue to use the Service after an update takes effect, you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree with a change, you should stop using the Service.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim.
